In response tosocial distancing restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemicPrimary Health Tasmania implemented a small grants initiative to helpnot-for-profit groups, clubs and organisations stay connected via videoconferencing.
Grants of up to $230.00 were provided to contribute towards the purchase of an annual video conferencing subscription.
A total of 152 grants were approved:
68 sport and recreation clubs
21 neighbourhood houses and community centres
21 heath or care-giving organisations
43 other groups.
Applicants used their videoconferencing licences to connect with members and to conduct training, events, presentations and performances.
Applications opened on 15 April 2020 and closed on 30 June 2020.
