The grant application period has now closed.

In response to social distancing restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic Primary Health Tasmania implemented a small grants initiative to help not-for-profit groups, clubs and organisations stay connected via videoconferencing.

Grants of up to $230.00 were provided to contribute towards the purchase of an annual video conferencing subscription.

A total of 152 grants were approved:

  • 68 sport and recreation clubs
  • 21 neighbourhood houses and community centres
  • 21 heath or care-giving organisations
  • 43 other groups.

Applicants used their videoconferencing licences to connect with members and to conduct training, events, presentations and performances.

Applications opened on 15 April 2020 and closed on 30 June 2020.

    Thank you for your question. Community groups which are auspiced by a mainland-based not-for-profit organisation but which operate in Tasmania, are eligible to apply for these grants.

In the case where a group/club/organisation only has a PO Box address we ask that you provide the street address of either the authorising officer (the person you identify at Q.5)  or primary contact person (the person you identify at Q.11).
